As some of you might know, Game Misconduct (The Dartmouth Cobras #1) won an award a few years back for Menage Reader's Choice Interracial Romance back in 2013. I was so honored for one of my books to even be nominated. I LOVE that people love the Cobras. :) I also know not every book I put out is gonna be a hit. But what kind of author would I be if I only wrote hoping THIS book would be the next big hit? I mean, there's formulas to follow, but...yeah. No. Evil's Embrace (Celestial Pets #1) is a book I was so excited about, I tried releasing it in serial format last year so I could share it with the readers as soon as I had a decent amount to put out there. Many readers were enjoying it, but I wasn't feeling the format, so I pulled the part, brought everything together and reworked it into a complete novel that fit both me and my characters so much better. Long story short, to make up for some people having bought it in parts, I published the book

I think we need to have a serious talk. On this carpet right here. Readers, you might want to stay for this, because I think it's important we get this straightened out before our sweet little authors go out there and piss all up in the public pool of literacy. Listen, there's a formula for how you're supposed to price books. One you must follow! I don't know who all you independent authors think you are, but you have to answer for your transgressions. There's been a lot of talk around the water cooler and you're upsetting the masses. So, you want to give your readers a taste of all those words you spend days, weeks, months, maybe YEARS dumping onto all those pages? Then you paid for editing, a pretty cover, and formating. You made it look all professional. *pats author on the head* That's some quality work right there. It has value and don't you forget that! Not as much value as it would have if you'd climbed out of some slu

I LOVE BOOKS. Of course, that's obvious, but there's one thing that I can't do with them... I can't read a book I truly love only once. Now, ebooks are awesome, because I used to travel with 5-10 books and that's obviously not fun. Totally worth it to have my escape wherever I go, but an ereader mean I don't have to limit myself to what I can carry. I can have all my favorites wherever I go. But I'm not a complete convert. Ebooks can't give me the smell of an old book. The smooth feel of the pages as I brush my fingers over them, my eyes skimming the printed words that just aren't quite the same on screen.
